Otto Baumgaertner, who took over the company in 2007, has been a leading force in OP Machine's continued growth and diversity. His unique style of leadership combined with 40 years of experience in machining, metal working, and fabrication has been an essential part in maintaining OPM's competitive edge in the machining and manufacturing industry. Otto received his Master Machine Builder and Master Welder certification in Germany before immigrating to Canada in 1981.Otto is backed by a dedicated staff all sharing in his philosophy of providing the highest standards of workmanship and the desire to exceed customer expectations.
Joining the company in 2008, Jeff Willard has grown to become an integral part in OP Machine's ability to provide design/build services, reverse engineering, and product development. Receiving his degree in mechanical engineering, Jeff's knowledge base is both comprehensive and diverse allowing him to support multiple facets of shop operation.
Ben Patterson joined OP Machine in 2010 and quickly established himself as a competent machinist and natural leader. He has proved an asset in managing the shop floor while also providing his expertise in estimating and design. A journeyman machinist since 2000, Ben has worked in a multitude of industries ranging from mining to aerospace and alternative energy.
